BIO
Kill The Silence are a powerhouse post-hardcore band hailing from Leeds, UK. Formed in 2012 at Leeds College of Music by frontman Jason Walsh and lead guitarist Sam Rickerby, the band was born from a shared love of melodic intensity and emotional honesty, drawing inspiration from the likes of Lower Than Atlantis, Deaf Havana and Mallory Knox.
After solidifying their line-up in 2018 with Ian Souch on bass and John Wallis on drums, Kill The Silence burst onto the scene with their debut EP Bloodlines. The release featured standout singles You Should Know, The Design and All We Are. Their rising reputation led to support slots with We Came As Romans, Mallory Knox, and The Red Jumpsuit Apparatus, among others.
Between 2020 and 2023, the band continued to evolve, releasing a string of dynamic singles including Inevitable, Sinner and Lost At Sea, while welcoming rhythm guitarist Daniel Ridding into the fold.
Following a period of writing and refining their sound, Kill The Silence returned with renewed focus and ambition. Their comeback single Hide & Seek quickly became their most successful release to date, smashing previous streaming records and earning airplay on Johnny Doom's Kerrang! Radio show, while BBC Introducing described the track as "quite epic."
Building on this momentum, the band released their highly anticipated EP Resolve, marking a defining moment in their evolution. The record showcased a heavier, more confident sound and further cemented the band's reputation as one of the UK's most exciting independent rock acts.
The success continued with follow-up singles The Final Word and Superficial, both of which received support from Johnny Doom on Kerrang! Radio. Superficial also earned national airtime on BBC Radio 1 through Alyx Holcombe's Introducing Rock show, exposing the band to their largest audience yet.
With growing radio support, an ever-expanding fanbase, and a relentless drive to push forward, Kill The Silence continue to establish themselves as one of the most exciting up and coming bands in the UK
